About xi2ix
xi2ix is a consultancy built around a simple conviction: that the move from how an organisation works today to how it should work tomorrow must be made deliberately, by someone who has carried that passage before. The firm is small by design — close enough to the work to be accountable for it.
At its centre stands Colja Vendel, the founder and the firm's Trusted Advisor. He is the constant across every engagement: the person who listens first, weighs the trade-offs plainly, and stands behind the recommendation. Clients work with a named, accountable advisor rather than a rotating bench — the relationship is the substance of the engagement, not a layer on top of it.
That posture is deliberate. A transformation only holds when someone owns it end to end, and a firm earns trust by being legible: a real person, reachable and answerable, behind every decision it advises.
Background and competence
The competence behind xi2ix grew, over more than 28 years, out of quality management and quality optimisation — the discipline of making complex delivery dependable. For Colja Vendel, IT quality is not a cost centre but the foundation of business integrity, and that conviction still shapes how the firm works.
Aus der Qualität entstand eine Shift-Left-Haltung — Risiko und Qualität am frühesten, günstigsten Punkt anzugehen, statt am Ende auf Mängel zu prüfen — und daraus eine disziplinierte Praxis der Lessons Learned sowie die Überzeugung, dass eine gesunde Fehlerkultur Verbesserung erst möglich macht: ein Umfeld, in dem Probleme früh und offen sichtbar werden, ohne Schuldzuweisung untersucht werden und zum Rohstoff des Besserwerdens werden.
Colja Vendel is an ISTQB Certified Tester and a certified Information Security Manager (on the basis of ISO/IEC 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz). These are his own personal certifications — a concise, verifiable trust anchor — not a certification held by the firm.
